Thread painting turns embroidery into portraiture. You'll learn to build images entirely from hand-stitched lines, layering thread to create texture and blend colours into something as stylized or photorealistic as you want. No prior experience required, though steady hands help. The day starts with a sampler to experiment with different stitches, then moves into designing and stitching an image of your choice. You'll leave with your tools, materials, and enough know-how to keep going at home—fair warning that it's the kind of thing that becomes hard to put down.
