By using heyfreddy.ca you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Hey Freddy is operated by Brand Butter and is not affiliated with the City of Fredericton.

Accuracy and "as is"

Hey Freddy aggregates events and city-service information from public sources several times a day and explains it in plain language. That information can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong: organizers cancel events, schedules shift, prices change, and sources make edits we cannot see. The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. For anything with real consequences, a ticket purchase, a permit, a legal or medical deadline, confirm directly with the organizer or with Service Fredericton at (506) 460-2020 before you rely on it.

The Ask Freddy assistant

The Ask Freddy chat is an automated AI tool. It can be inaccurate or incomplete and does not provide professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Treat its answers as a starting point, not a final authority, and verify anything important.

Event submissions and your content

When you submit an event, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. A person reviews every submission, and we may edit, decline, or remove any submission for any reason. By submitting, you grant Hey Freddy permission to display that event information on the site. Do not submit anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Acceptable use

Please do not use the site in ways that harm it or others: no attempts to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, no automated scraping or bulk harvesting beyond normal personal use, and no using the Ask Freddy assistant for anything other than Fredericton-area questions. We may rate-limit or block abusive traffic.

Intellectual property

The original writing, design, and artwork on Hey Freddy belong to Brand Butter. You are welcome to link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution, but please do not republish whole guides or copy the site wholesale. Business names, logos, and event details referenced on the site remain the property of their respective owners.

Links to other sites

Hey Freddy links to many external sites (venues, the city, ticketing, sources). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brand Butter and Hey Freddy are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its information, including missed events, incorrect details, or unavailable services. Because the site is free and informational, you use it at your own risk.

Newsletter

Our weekly email is a commercial electronic message under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. We send it only after you confirm your subscription (double opt-in), each email identifies us and includes a physical mailing address, and you can unsubscribe in one click at any time.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the site evolves; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change, and continued use means you accept the revision. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
