Know before you go

What to expect

Where they play

Women’s hockey is at the Grant-Harvey Centre, 600 Knowledge Park Drive, the same building the Fredericton Express call home. Basketball and volleyball are at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym, 2 Peter Kelly Drive, and soccer is on the Grant-Harvey turf field.

Six dollars

Adults $6, seniors $5, students aged seven and up $3, and anyone six or under free. Tickets are sold at the admissions booth at the door, and playoff prices vary. For comparison, the same calibre of hockey one building over costs two and a half times as much.

Students get in free

Any STU student with valid ID is admitted free to home games. Season passes are sold for women’s hockey, basketball, volleyball and soccer separately, each covering that sport’s pre-season and regular-season home games.

The crosstown game

St. Thomas and UNB share a city and a conference, and the women’s teams meet four times a season. The Tommies took the first one 3-2 at the Aitken on October 8. The two at the Grant-Harvey are November 25 and February 12.

The ten programs

Women’s hockey, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, and women’s rugby sevens. Men’s hockey was retired after 2015-16, so the women carry the puck for the Tommies.
