Still Here brings together the stories of Black families whose presence in New Brunswick stretches back centuries. The exhibition weaves together historical documents, first-person accounts, original poetry by Thandiwe McCarthy, and photographs by Gary Weekes to explore themes of heritage, community, resilience, and identity across generations.
An accompanying book of the same name, published by Goose Lane Editions, combines these elements into a single volume available through the Beaverbrook Boutique. The exhibition runs through December.
