The exhibition weaves together historical documents, first-person accounts, original poetry by Thandiwe McCarthy, and photographs by Gary Weekes to explore themes of heritage, community, resilience, and identity across generations. An accompanying book of the same name, published by Goose Lane Editions, combines these elements into a single volume available through the Beaverbrook Boutique. The exhibition runs through December.

Daniel Lanois has spent decades shaping records from behind the mixing board—U2's The Joshua Tree, Bob Dylan's Time Out of Mind, and work with Neil Young and Peter Gabriel among them. He's in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame for good reason. This time he's trading the studio for the stage with drummer Jermaine Holmes and bassist Jim Wilson, performing as the Lanois Trio. Expect the kind of sonic depth that's made his production work legendary, now live and in the room.
Karine, a jazz performer, joins forces with Atlantic Sinfonia for an evening devoted to Édith Piaf. The program draws from the French icon's repertoire, including "La Vie en rose" and "Non, je ne regrette rien." Atlantic Sinfonia is a chamber ensemble based in Atlantic Canada.
